Yay! mistletoe and wine is on tv all the time, and being played in shops! I wish they'd play cliff the rest of the year.
Have a look at the pictures on the back next time you see it in Woolworths - it's hysterical. I was trying to find one of the images in google to try and make a link and my official worst search ever is "cliff richard shave"
A bit belated (you know what my memory's like), but did anybody see Sir Cliff on Strictly Come Dancing last Saturday? There aren't many 65 year olds who can get away with leather trousers, and yet somehow he does. And he got to jive with the professionals!
This picture amused me:http://usuarios.lycos.es/los60/shadows10.jpg
Everything is coming up roses.Hello fellow Cliffies.Being in the USA and Cliff FANATIC is a very lonely thing. You would not believe the blank stares when I do "The Day I Met Marie"or "Please Don't Tease" at the Karaoke bar.I love the man and his music so bloody much. I even had a custom discmade to sing some Cliff songs.I'm happy to meet all you, be your friends and join your community.(I love Robbie too. Again, what is the matter with my fellow Americans? Yeah I know, look who they let steal another election, but still. )
What is licorice locking?
Tony Meehan has died. He had Seven Children and Cliff called him The Baron.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4480704.stmInterestingly in Bruce's autobiography Tony is remebered as being lazy and supposedly bit Hank when they tried to talk to him about his timekeeping!
http://www.sir-cliff.com/fragment.htmlI didn't do too well...Beginner: 8/10 Bill Latham: You're now officially Cliff's right hand man! (sorry Bill!)Intermediate: 7/10 Living Doll: It is obvious you have studied your Cliff music.Advanced: 3/10 A Young One: Let's hope you may not be a young one very long!**well, that's embarassing, clearly I'm not knowledgeable to be the moderator of my own community.
Yay! A community for me to talk to myself about Cliff and The Shadows. Most recently I have been talking to myself about the stuff they recorded independently (with each other) in the 1970's as most of my favourite music comes from this period. I love the Marvin, Welch and Farrar albums and am also listening to the soundtrack from Take Me High a lot.Oh, if only other people wanted to come here and talk about Cliff and The Shadows they would be most welcome.
